Hardwood Flooring in Gallatin, TN

White Buffalo Restoration installs and refinishes hardwood floors for homeowners in Gallatin, Hendersonville, and across Sumner County. New hardwood, sand-and-refinish jobs that bring tired floors back, and repairs that blend in with the boards you already have.

Most flooring contractors start with the boards. We start with what is under them. Squeaks, soft spots, and dips almost always come from the subfloor, so we fix the structure first and your new floor stays flat and quiet for decades.

A floor is only as good as what is under it.

Subfloor first

Tennessee humidity is hard on wood floors, and a weak subfloor makes it worse. Before we lay or refinish anything, we check for loose or damaged subfloor, moisture, and framing that has moved. Fixing those first is what keeps boards from cupping, gapping, and squeaking a year later.

Hardwood flooring questions

Can my existing hardwood floors be refinished?

Most solid hardwood can be sanded and refinished several times. We check the thickness and condition of your boards during the walkthrough and tell you honestly whether refinishing or replacement makes more sense.

How long does refinishing take?

Most refinishing jobs take 3 to 5 days, including drying time between coats. Rooms can usually be walked on in socks within a day of the final coat.

Solid or engineered hardwood?

Solid hardwood can be refinished more times. Engineered hardwood handles humidity and concrete slabs better. We recommend the right one for your room.

Can you match new boards to my existing floor?

Yes. We match species, width, and stain as closely as possible, and refinishing the whole room afterward makes repairs blend in.

Do I need to move out during the work?

Usually not. We work room by room when we can, and we tell you up front which areas will be off limits and for how long.
